Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is an annual celebration by Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities worldwide.

This is a significant festival as it com- memorates the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom Ayodhya after a four- teen-year during exile for defeating the Demon King Ravana. This symbolises the victory of good (light) over evil (darkness).

On 30 October 2010, the Diwali Festival in London's Brent Council started from the Shri Sanatan Hindu Mandir Temple in Wembley with a parade all the way to Barham Park. Over 60,000 people attended, which made this one of the biggest Diwali celebrations in the UK.
